Exmoor is recognised as one of the best locations for walking in Europe and has fanastic road cycling with amazing views and challenging hills to cycle up. Tough enough for the The Tour of Britain 2018. Tarr Steps is a great circular walk with rope swings across the river, huge stone steps across the ford and good luck money trees to be found. Have a go at placing your penny onto the tree trunk and see what good luck it brings you! Explore the mysterious and very special woodlands, or park up in the many view points on the heather topped moorland. You will see the Exmoor ponies, you may even be lucky enough to see the wild red deer. |
Broadsands is a total hidden gem. This beach is only accessible by the adventurous, a fairly precarious steep climb down 220 steps and watch out for the missing steps on the way down.
Definitely an adventure to be had and you are rewarded by a beautiful sheltered beach, perfect for exploring and swimming. Or hire a kayak or SUP from Combe Martin and arrive at the beach by paddle! Or for the more adventurous, head around to Watermouth Cove to try some coasteering and feel the adrenaline pump as you jump from 30ft rocks into the sea below. |
